About

This blog is dedicated to serving as a running account of some of the ideas and accomplishments of the Sociology Department at The College at Brockport, State University of New YorkWe’re excited to offer you: fresh perspectives on social life from the faculty by summarizing some of their recent and ongoing research, showcasing the work of some of our undergraduate majors and minors, and highlighting alumni accomplishments.

If you’re just digitally passing by, welcome.  If you’re one of our many alumni seeking to reconnect with the department, we’d love to hear from you and possibly feature you on the blog.  Please contact either Professor Bridges (tbridges@brockport.edu) or Professor Boyd (mboyd@brockport.edu) and let either of them know you’re interested and we’ll be happy to help to set that up.  We’d love to know what you’re doing, and how you’ve found sociology relevant to your life after college, in addition to having you help the majors and minors currently coming through our program to gain more knowledge of the various ways that previous students have put their sociological imaginations to use after college.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
